About Me!

Hey Y'all

I thought I would give y'all a little more background in my life. 

Story Recap:

 My father is in the construction industry. I have a passion for Interior Design and Architecture. Have a degree in Marketing Management. Working towards my dream of being a designer.

The Town:

 Santa Cruz, California is a smallish beach town just outside of the Bay Area. I would never give up the chance to grow up in this amazing town. Santa Cruz has shaped me into the person I am today. Who wouldn't want to grow up two blocks from the beach?  The beach is somewhere I get to escape to, forget what is driving me crazy and just relax. So... you could say the beach is my happy place and I would agree.

Home:

I growing up in around 700 square feet with my Parents, my Sister and myself. It was small and could feel crowded but don't worry, I still love them and the house. Sometimes I would think, "how could I redesign this house to add a little extra room for everyone?" I have yet to come up with a perfect design. My current design would be to extend our living room out a couple of feet, add built-ins wrapping around French doors. My Mom is all over the design and actually agrees with it. But my Dad brought up permits and increase of property value, just to burst my bubble.

Life: 

Yes, I currently have a job but I will leave it out. I try to be as social as I can which sometimes includes leaving town to see friends. Although there are sometimes when I just want to curl up and watch movies and be anti-social. Doesn't everyone have those feelings? Or am I the only one in the world? For my free time, I enjoy the beach walks, hiking, baking, beach days (when it is warm), wine tasting, trying out new cocktail recipes or creating my own and spending time with friends and family. One of my favorite thing to do is shop of furniture, bedding, kitchen supplies, pillows, and anything that is required to turn a house into a home. 

Design Career: 

Currently nonexistent....at least in real life. But in my imagination, I am a well-known Interior Designer with multiple shops and designers across the United States and have done at least one international job. Everyone can imagine their dream career and life. But is everyone willing out in the extensive amount of work that it will take? The reason behind this page is because I am working towards my dream of being a designer. I am ready for the hard work that I will have to put into my career.

We will see where this takes me! (Hopefully to my first design job..Fingers Crossed!)
