Picked a Pink!
Update Time!
So as y'all know, I am painting and redecorating my room. After much deliberation and trying out samples on the wall, I have made a decision on a color......Benjamin Moore Powder Pink!
Now that I have my main colors for my room, it is time to get organized to paint which involves cleaning out my room. I am so not ready to do a spring cleaning and it is not even spring yet! Over the raining holiday weekend, I started to clean out my closet which got moved into our laundry/mud room. Basically, this room is used for everything..but mostly laundry and storage. After I moved most of my closet...basically all my clothes that are hung up and my shoes, I figured out that I still have a more to move and little space to move it too. Remember I live in about 700 square feet, so spring cleaning and organization is what is next for me. I do love organizing and containers...but don't tell anyone it is my guilty pleasure. Although I just completed a spring cleaning and organization day in December, this one is going to be harder because it involved my whole house and not just my room.
Why you ask does it involve my whole house? Because I can't have anything in my bedroom for an entire weekend and maybe a whole week depending on how much painting I get done this coming weekend. It is a good thing pretty much everything is in some sort of box or container so it will be easy to move everything out of the room but finding a place to store it all is going to be the struggle.
Steps I will take before I can paint:
ONE: To have everything to move that I will need on daily basis and make it easily accessible, so my dresser will be moved out to the laundry/mud room and position it so it isn't in the way.
TWO: Will need to find a location(s) for all my drafting and crafting supplies, puzzle, movies, Flabongos and the few things my sister left behind, so basically everything that is stored currently under my bed.
THREE: After everything is moved out, except the beds which I am planning on moving into the middle of the room, then I will begin the process of wiping down all the walls and cleaning the floor.
FOUR: Once the walls and floor are clean, I will begin to tape and cover everything for protection just in case the paint party gets a little crazy.
FIVE: NOW it is finally time for the paint party and mimosas!!!!
I won't forget to share during and after shots!
XOXO
